About Me

I’m an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Gies College of Business. I am interested in the industrial organization of the health care sector, particularly the way administrative burdens shape the delivery, cost, and outcomes of health care in the US.

I have a courtesy appointment to the University of Illinois Department of Economics and am a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Health and Aging Research at the NBER after earning my PhD in Economics from Duke University in May 2023.
